QVC Special Value BOBBI BROWN SET

This kit was $79 for the kit which is a great value. QVC says it retails for $160 if you bought the products individually. The kit is now ok QVC for $89. Overall I was shocked how much I liked the kit. By far my favorite is the foundation stick and concealer. This is the perfect color for me and works well for my oily skin. This looks just like better skin not like foundation and a little goes a long way in coverage I easily get medium to full coverage by applying with my fingers and using the real techniques expert face brush to buff in. This stuff stays on me all day! I am planning on repurchasing the full size foundation stick ($44). Also the foundation stick is a reformation. BB used to suck for oily people but the new stick is awesome for the oily (well me at least).

Their corrector is holy grail status. It covers all my imperfections. It's perfect for under the eye. But you must set it and the kit has a translucent powder.

The eye shadows are decent pigmentation for the mattes. The shimmers are only to go over the mattes similar to the IT Cosmetics "Naturally Pretty" eye shadows. It gives a little shimmer on the eyelid but cannot be worn alone.

The cream blush is to die for it easily blends and sets on the face and is a perfect rose color for any skin tone! It's a convertible but doesn't work on my lips unless you use it really lightly. I think it's drying on the lips.

The brown chocolate eye pencil was also a great find. It's is creamy, doesn't budge, and pigmented! I would definitely repurchase!

The lipgloss was not great. I will use it as a topper but there is not really any pigmentation and some shimmer. It has a great feel. Not too sticky but has longevity. The color was just disappointingly. The smell is great a very sweet vanilla. And the shimmer is not painful glitter pieces it's subtle. So not a complete loss on that.

Overall, love the kit! I'm on auto delivery and can't wait to get the fall colors. And I will repurchase the foundation!

All the things we ate!

I often post on IG and Facebook some of the most delectable things I make. I absolutely love to cook and bake and that turns into a IG of all the thinks I cook. So as an outlet I though I would share the highlights of the food we ate this week which is basically ALL THE THINGS. Rightly named because dining in our family is a big deal.

First, I made Rhee Drummond's (Pioneer Woman) "Best Ever Lasagna"

http://thepioneerwoman.com/cooking/2007/06/the_best_lasagn/

This stuff is amazing. My husband claims restaurant quality. Lol. Sure why not. It is pretty legit. A lot of commenters on her website claimed how could it be good since it uses the "crappy" green canister of parm. They lovingly refer to it as "stinky foot cheese." Oh Internet! But then say after making it they love it! My momma claims this is the recipe she used back in the day (which has been purported to be the 70s or 80s ;)). And she is right this stuff is so good! My only subs were for salt I used smoked sea salt we got at TJ Maxx aka heaven. It was $5 I would spend again. Delic! Also this feeds at min 6 people. I have five containers in the freezer. Cheap and easy and ip remade it's before crossfit the. Just through it in the oven from fridge for about 45 min.

Then for dessert we had caramel corn. I got the recipe from my latest Cosmo magazine. And omitted the pecans but sooo good.

And this is what I made:

Quick and easy and looks like you work a lot harder than you did. My kind of recipe.

Revlon Colorstay Moisture Stain NEW!

This amazing find was at my local Meijer! It seems to be similar to the YSL Glossy stain. Number one Tia stuff stains so be careful on application. Number two this stuff is not a drying formula. I don't own the YSL glossy stains but have played with them and this seems to be a decent dupe with about 10 color choices. (Don't quote me on the variety!) ;)

This stuff is awesome I wore it for about 9 hours and the stain is not as vibrant but great. And it wears evenly! It's a must buy at $8.99. Just a heads up I haven't seen it at cvs nor walgreens yet.

Ulta and Walgreens haul!

I recently went to Walgreens and Ulta and found some amazing things! The bleached neons collection by Maybelline is out and the new Covergirl lip glosses are there too!

At Walgreens I found the Maybelline color elixir in "glowing garnet ." ($6.29) This is a pink to raspberry color and has that pillowy feel that the elixirs are known for. These are decently pigmented lipglosses though I often top lipstick with them as well. I got two Covergirl lipglosses.
- Coloricious 700 whipped berry (light pink. Very pigmented for a gloss) ($6.99)

Coloricious 660 Fruitylicious (deep fushia with some shimmer. Can be worn alone or over Girl about town by Mac! Wink wink. I wore it over the whisper I got) ($6.99)

These glosses have a delicious vanilla smell! Too good.

I got the Maybelline Color Whisper in "who wore it redder" which is not from the bleached neons collection as the elixir is. It was very opaque! I really like this color but it needs a lip pencil for me to not have feathering. ($5.24)

Walgreens had all Maybelline 30% off this week and BOGO 50% on Covergirl so this was a cheap trip!

I got the Revlon Colorstay eye pencil in "blackberry" in there clearance section. Walgreens was running a major clearance and their were some great deals!! This pencil is the twist up kind. Very pigmented and a unique color. Usually it costs $8.49 but was on sale $3.69! It's a great color see pic below I used it on upper and lower lash line.

I also got the mattifying powder by Wet n Wild Fergie collection. This stuff is awesome! I would say comparable to the HD powder by MUFE or the UD de slick powder. And it was a fraction of the price! $3.74 (what!? #icant)

I also got the physicians formula nudewear in "rose." It's quite light on me but a nice pink glow. It had a $2 coupon on it and was BOGO (actually this and foundation were from Rite Aid). So I got it for $1.29!!! I also got the Covergirl Outlast 3 in 1 in 840 in natural beige. This stuff is awesome for oily skin! It stuck all night! I highly reccomend.

At Ulta I got two Jane eyeshadows (they were 2 for $10, regularly $8/each). I got the shades "earth" and "olive branch." Earth is very similar to antiqued by Mac but not as pigmented IMO. The olive color is a mix of green and taupe and I love it! Definitely creamy and worth grabbing a few.

Ulta had their products for super cheap! The blushes were $3 regularly $5-7. I got fame (powder blush) and berry glow (cream). The first is a natural peach and the cream is a deep mauve/berry/pink.

Swatches and pics below!!

Top CG FRUITYLICIOS
Middle CG WHIPPED BERRY
Bottom Maybelline Garnishing Garnet

Notes on the outfit:
- dress express from fall collection
- necklace from groopdealz.com (really cheap website that makes copies of J crew and other statement pieces)
- ring from Macy's (Betsey Johnson)
- shoes from DSW Crown Vintage they were originally $100 marked to $16!! I love them so Mad Men!

Hope you enjoyed!
